Viacom operates approximately 170 media networks reaching more than 600 million global subscribers and more than 500 branded digital media properties. In2006, REDspace embarked on a partnership to support Viacom across all of its brands.
As a global leader in television, motion pictures and mobile, Viacom is one of the world’s largest producers of digital content. Creating and maintaining such a large portfolio of engaging content is a monumental effort. In 2006, Viacom engaged a small team at REDspace to begin taking on the development and support of key projects in the organization.
REDspace embraced the challenge, ramping up a team of web, social and mobile ninjas within days. Work and planning was started to better understand and integrate into Viacom’s system. Our goal was not just to fix the immediate issues of today, but to build a strategy and relationship that would carry both companies into the future.
After seven years of working together, our relationship with Viacom couldn’t be stronger. We’ve grown our small team dedicated to their projects by six fold. We’ve become an integral part of the Viacom team. Much more than a separate team of contractors, we’ve become close partners advising and assisting across Viacom’s broad portfolio of properties.
